All students must adhere to this Prestonwood Dress Code. Cleanliness, neatness, appropriateness, and the effect on the learning environment are the criteria that should dictate the student’s choice of dress and grooming. Students should observe modesty, appropriateness, and neatness in clothing and personal appearance. A student is not appropriately dressed if he/she is a disturbing influence in class or school because of his/her attire. A student who is not appropriately dressed will be considered in violation of the RISD Code of Conduct. Parents will be contacted and asked to provide appropriate clothing. While it is inevitable that there will be differences of opinion as to the appropriateness of dress, the final determination will be the responsibility of the administrators. If you or your student has any doubts about an outfit, it should not be worn.
